The newly paved central path in the park is part of an initiative to make the playground more inclusive, with new accessible equipment for children of all abilities. The Park Association secured donor funding for this, along with wheelchair-accessible picnic tables and benches. The path, previously prone to puddles and potholes, was resurfaced with city funding to improve accessibility. The remaining section will be completed soon with funds from a different budget.
